El Shams Sports Club

The total project area is approximately 19,000 m² and includes the following components:

• International Swimming Pool: Designed and constructed to meet all legal specifications and dimensions according to FINA (International Swimming Federation) standards for hosting local and international swimming competitions. It is also equipped with lighting systems compliant with night competition requirements.

• Diving Pool: Ready and equipped for diving training and competition preparation. The diving platforms were fully refurbished and upgraded.

• Machine Room: Operates filtration and heating systems for both the swimming and diving pools, built to the highest technical specifications. It includes balancing tanks over an area of approximately 800 m².

• Changing Rooms Building (Men – Women): Covers an area of around 900 m² and includes 1,080 lockers, 64 shower units, 76 changing cabins, 12 restrooms, and 2 restrooms for individuals with special needs.

• Spa Unit: Includes Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room facilities for both men and women.

• Poolside Areas:

  • Landscape area at the main entrance to the swimming zone featuring an illuminated fountain and marble/granite walkways over approximately 2,000 m².

  • Hardscape (paved) area surrounding the pools totaling approximately 5,300 m².

  • Three shaded terraces overlooking the swimming pool, covering approximately 2,000 m².

• Administrative Building: Two floors with an office for the swimming pool director, the swimming activity office, and two restrooms (men and women), located above the pool level, covering about 300 m².

• Medical & Administrative Unit: Includes two emergency clinics (men and women), three administrative offices for the technical swimming director and coaching staff, covering approximately 120 m².

• Small Mosque and Three Commercial Shops: Located in the changing rooms area, over a space of about 300 m².

• Retail and Cafeteria Zone: Serving the area surrounding the swimming pool.

• Infrastructure Works: Complete internal infrastructure systems were implemented within the project perimeter, including water and sewage lines, power cabling, and service rooms. These include a sewage lifting station, two electrical rooms with main and sub-distribution panels, an earthing system for equipment and panel safety, and a generator room.
